Hi folks
I have something really strange going on and wondered if there are any things I can try I was working on a test version of my site (this is on my home server 192.168.1.7 via the LAN) I was logged in on my server (localhost) as a 'regular member' I was logged in on my development PC as admin Anyway I was playing around with some new CMS settings and templates (testing a new site layout) and all of a sudden I found I was logged out on both PCs and now I can't log into the site on either of them I can't get into ACP either I tried upload tools.php which works OK so I reset cookie settings but it makes no difference What I can't figure out is how I got myself locked out - OK it's only my test site but I would hate this to happen on the live one therefore I really want to get to the bottom of it My site is vbulletin 3.7.0 and vbA 3.0.0 Suggestions? Rich --------------- Added [DATE]1388920913[/DATE] at [TIME]1388920913[/TIME] --------------- OK I am still trying to figure out what I have accidentally done here It would seem like I managed to set some part or module of the CMS so that no member type (not even guest) has permissions to access some element of forums/login.php (or index.php or forums/index.php) Is that even possible to do? The reason I am thinking this is because I can view index.php (and see the site front page layout that guests would see) but if I then navigate to forums/index (which is normally visible to guests) I get You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation Now I should be able to view that page oas a guest. Some other custom CMS pages I created I can still view as a guest If I go to forums/admincp/index I can see the usual log-in for the ACP but as soon as I enter my details Im directed back to http://192.168.1.7/forums/login.php?do=login - but I don't have permissions to view that page!! The last thing I was doing before I messed it all up was make some changes to the one of the CMS mod wrappers and adv_portal_onlineusers which are displayed on index and forums/index - this would also indicate I did something like i suspect So how do I get out of that one? Obviously I have access to the php files and the database, but not the ACP Rich |

sorted by restoring database - don't know what the problem was caused by.
