Now I have a Message Board that works can anyone recommend a Chat Room facility that I can pay for monthly? Not Multi City as you get the unwanted extras with it and I just want chat.

you get many irc chats for free, the one here at vB.org was free. Its hosted on a network called realmnet and has 4 servers.
Sweeden, Houston (TX), Laurel (MD) and Baltimore (MD) you can get a chat on these servers for free.
