Are VB working on more social network features?

I am curious which approach is Vb taking while working on VB 5.x Are they planning to work on implementing social features within profiles?

What i mean is, all the current forum software, never focused on this aspect but you're missing the point that social network's features are what creates a deep community and more participation. Members tend to be shy at first, what encourages them to participate within topics is if they get to know few friends on the forum and social features are important for this.

For instance, the FB profile conversations system with likes, twitter features like favorite or retweet, Tumbler like reblog or heart. The idea of sharing things with your friends from your friend list of followers whether it is a pic, a video, a link.

These features really encourage members to participate more, in general members like things like this, especially if it is integrated with a well gallery system (vb hasn't created this yet) but all these ideas if they come together will create a better forum software.

Have this ever been discussed among VB devs? And if there is plans for it?

I have something similar on my homepage http://www.nihonomaru.com/profile/yuneko.52/about but really who out of many spends money 2+ years in development to reach this level and it is an ongoing project.

I think the perfect solution would be if a forum software like VB took this direction which has never been seen before, i mean you want to be unique with your ideas.
