'Members Only' Mod
Hi,
I found this modification on a IPB forum; Does anyone know if there is a equivalent for vBulletin? Basically, a faded forum with 'MEMBERS ONLY' displayed to guests Thanks |

I couldnt find any (maybe someone could) but this is what I found
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=233979 It doesnt display the MEMBERS ONLY but shows this That "No Permissions To View Last Post Info in This Forum" is editable and you can replace it with "Members Only" maybe you would be able to change its font and color to a bigger size and red. Even though users can get into that restricted forum they wont see any post or thread and wont be able to create or reply threads. |

Or you just use the built in core features for vB.
Set up a separate user group and it's done |

If you click here, you'll see a nifty way they make it very clear a forum exists, but for members only. vBulletin's default settings is poor in comparison, which we use (click here, try an visit 'Ale House') From a visitor journey perspective, we want people to see a forum/content exists, making it clear its Members Only (and not for them not to have to first click to be told they must register) |
