He contacted me in PM to buy his mod, but after what I read here, I would be afraid to. We can have a coder write one for us if we all chip in. Christeris' is a piece of junk IMO, it doesn't properly let users unsubscribe and has no instructions. I showed it to one coder on here and he said it wasn't worth trying to modify it.
Anyone wanting to use this that was having issues with it not sending the mail out , I made it work by removing the following line from c_news_letter.php
PHP Code:
$vbulletin->GPC['test'] = 1;
Since Provb doesnt seem to exist anymore and the OP doesnt seem to be responsive you may want to remove the references to link to their site all over the modification including a call for a css file.
I have attached what i use in a zip file, it may not be a correct solution but it works for me so use at own risk. Note**The only things which have been edited in the attached plugin is the file edit mentioned above and the template called c_news_letter of which ive removed the references for provb.org.
To also note , the template which i edited ive also fixed the styling so the page displays correct if you have a custom style.
if this is against the rules Moderators then feel free to remove the package and the fix.
I see that you have changed your original domain from ProVB to ModernVB now. I have a client that purchased the Premium newsletter when you were ProVB. I have a couple of questions:
1. Is his license still valid even though you changed the domain?
2. Is this the same hack but the name changed?
3. If it is the same and he would still have a valid license is it possible to get the latest version of the Pro version?
I believe I saw Ozzy say he had plans to build a newsletter mod, but I don't know if that's still his intention. It's amazing that not only has vbulletin not made this an included add-on, but that no one has developed a decent pay version, given that just about every vbulletin forum owner would likely want to use it.
