Oh yes I definitely agree with this, it's pagination 101 - don't have images guiding the eye off the page, have them direct the eye inward. This applies to faces, and yes cars, boats, trucks.

If talking about the branding on my forums I have paid some time ago to remove that

good layouts but I think you should change main background, it looks like dirty and hard to read content on site.

Sorry I was on about the skin he is using it's called Defraction from PureVB and you have to pay to remove branding..
