Version 1.6 - Added new option to enforce forum restrictions on highlights in search and subscription lists.
Version 1.5 - Added new settings to enable mod per forum, and to disable in search and subscriptions if you want.
Version 1.0 - Initial Release
Live Demo: Qapla.com Demo Forum - See the "Thread Highlighter" thread- it should be highlighted in gold.
The purpose of this mod is to "highlight" threads of special usergroups in forums. The mod works on threads listed in forumdisplay, search, and subscribed threads list in User CP.
This is the free version- it allows you to specify 1 color for 1 or more usergroups.
The Giold version allows you to specify up to 3 colors for 3 or more usergroups. Optionally choose colors with StyleVars.
Gold version available here: Qapla.com - Thread Highlighter by BOP5 Gold
Both versions allow easy setup via the mod settings in Admin CP- You can choose your color(s) via a standard color picker and easily select usergroups by checkbox, no need to lookup usergroup ids.
Both versions also allow you to activate on all forums OR selected forums. Also an option to enable or disable highlighting in the search and in subscriptions.
The mod will automatically make template edits needed or if your threadbit templates are heavily customized, manual template edit instructions are included.
I was considering adding an option that would allow highlighting based on a thread prefix but I haven't started that.
This is exactly what I am looking for, I am building a classifieds forum at the moment and would like to color code threads based on prefix i.e. For Sale, Wanted, Trade
this is really very nicely done plugin,
I only wish there was way how easily exclude it from specific style ...
or to be able chose color 1 for one style(styles) and color 2 for another style(styles)
e.g. as we use multiple styles (many light tone one), where some are reverse (darker tone)
then way to keep the auto edit templates enabled just for light styles would be way easier than manually editing many light styles

The "Per Style" option is part of the Gold (Premium) version mentioned in the first post.
