It was brought to our attention late last night "Vote Rallying" (Asking people to vote for your mod) was taking place on the [Chris] Classifieds mod. This type of rallying usually results in disqualification and please remember if you are in the MOTM vote you cannot ask people to vote for your mod.

You can link to the MOTM thread, you can ask people to vote for their favorite mod, but you cannot ask/suggest/tell them to vote for you.

The only reason the mod was not removed from this vote was it was already so close to the expiration of the poll when it had been discovered. Had it affected the outcome the mod would have been removed / disqualified.

You really don't allow me to go away. You like to push my nerves to maximum. Do you want to see me dead? Say it and believe me I've no hesitation to drop myself from the balcony right now.
  1. What I post it was in my site and not here. Have you found any post, even just a simple word in any post here. But please allow me to do anything that I want in my site.
  2. But even if it was a post in my site, still I kept my post honest. What I wrote is: If you haven't voted yet, and if you don't like more any of the other mods, I'll appreciate to give a vote to Classifieds as MOTM at vb.org.
  3. Finally. I post it in public and not in a mass mailing to the users. If I was caring so much for it, I had to email my users asking to vote, as DBTech does in their mailings (but again, to be honest they use the same wording "If you don't like any other mor" etc etc).
So what was so bad? Do you spy my site? Do I need to follow vb.org rules in my own site? My God. I'm really a step before a head strike. Really this is something that blow ups my mind. How is possible to jugle me for what I'm doing in my site?

I did not visit your site until another vb.org member reported it.

You are not allowed to rally votes anywhere, be it here, on your site, or by email.

The title of the message was clear: Vote for Classifieds as MOTM

That is a clear violation.

I could have removed you from the contest completely but I didn't think it was fair because I saw 29 days of 31 days there was no violation, it was only at the end.

I went out of my way to help you but you do not make it easy.

Sorry you are upset but there was nothing personal about this.

So, if I post here or send you (to anyone) the weekly newsletter from DBTech you'll remove all the awards that they have got? Because in any of their newsletter, when they have a mod for voting, they're using EXACT the same paragraph. Actually, I copied their text from such a newsletter.

Editet: But even if they're competitors, I found it normal, that's why I never reported anything. They were sending newsletter, they were informing subscribers for news about their company, and by the end they have a paragraph saying exactly the same. What's that bad with it? They never pushed someone "Goto vote and vote this".
As for my title, yes maybe is a bit strict but just to attact the eyes. Can you suggest any other title? "Vote" ..."Vote at vb.org". or what on hell?.....

In non-release news, vBSuperPMs is ahead by quite a few votes in this month's Modification of the Month on vBulletin.org - as always we have a deep appreciation for all of you who take 30 seconds to cast your vote, even if it's not for one of our mods!
This is text you used-

You can ask people to vote in general, you cannot tell or ask them to vote for you specifically.

1.- I'm talking for their Newsletter Nov2012 - Jan2013 when I was subscriber
2.- This is my actual text. As I wrote before, I admit that my title was strict
...........
If you haven't voted yet, and if you don't like more any of the other mods, I'll appreciate to give a vote to Classifieds as MOTM at vb.org. Is just 1 vote away from the first one.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=300696
...........
3.- As you already admit in your early post, this post was released almost the last day.
4.- You didn't got in account that here at vb.org, even if I had dozens of posts, in NO ONE I mentioned anything. Not even a single word. Did you found a single words here?
5.- I do believe that everybody is boss in his site.

That's all. You shoot me just for 2 words... actually for wrong wording. Yes, they have the correct spelling. But don't forget that they're native English speakers. Even now, after so long discuss, can't find a title that it was better to use. With my simple English, a title must be short and meanful, while the real content must clear. And you can't say anything against my text. Was 100% clear.

Curious: Why is there a banned members mod in the voting to begin with?!
This is just curious..... Perhaps the banned member has created a brandnew vB.org account?

Interesting.

YOUR MOD WASN'T REMOVED FROM THE VOTE. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AGAINST IT. YOU WERE TOLD NOT TO DO IT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

I DON'T CARE WHAT SOMEONE ELSE DID 9 MONTHS AGO, MAYBE THEY WERE TOLD TO STOP AS WELL- YOU DON'T KNOW, I AM NOT SURE, IT DOESN'T MATTER NOW.

IF YOU SEE IT HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE, REPORT IT DURING THE VOTE.

The author asked to be banned at the end of the month.
