Hello Everyone- This is my first post as I became owner of a forum that runs on vbulletin 4 last week. The previous owner is still helping with some problems that occurred when we transferred all. My questions is how the different admin levels work? I trust the previous owner and would like to leave him on as admin but was wondering if there was a reference as to if there are different levels of admins. I would also like to are the same for moderators. Thanks for any help.

There are Admins and Super Admins.
Super Admins are specified in the /includes/config.php file. You should read through that file. You specify certain admins by userid (not username.) You should make yourself the only Super Admin, the only Uneditable User, and possibly the only one with permission to run queries. Remove any other admins from these special settings. Then in Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Administrator Permissions you can grant or remove specific Admin permissions from other Admins. |

Run a database backup every so often until you demote the former admin to a lesser usergroup, moderator should be fine once he/she helps you wrap up the influx of required admin priorities after the transfer. Remember, unless they are active there is no need for "spare" admin accounts.
