Creating Copyright Footer
Hi,
As a Admin on a VB4 Forum we have a Copyright Footer Message which also includes various link buttong for ModsCP / AdminCP Contact Us etc.. This is set as a code in Style Manager / Common Templates.. I want to create the same for our VB5 forum also ( Different Forum completely), So my question is would it work if i just copy and paste the VB4 Template Code and use it on VB5 and change the Copyright Wording to suit our New Forum .. Link to the VB4 is http://internationalchristineclub.net , Ignore the Bottom Right Logo as will Not be using that.. At the moment our VB5 Header and Footer Common Templates are Blank (Default), Although i did notice a warning at the top on the Header Common Template that reads.. Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/admincp/css.php on line 447 .. I can list the Template Code if needed , Only if it is safe to do so .. |

The bottom right register logo too big gets in the way of seeing things. You can't use code from vb4 on vb5

The vB4 and vB5 template code won't work, so you can't just copy the entire template.
Why not just use the site builder to edit the footer links, then add your custom html to the footer. |

Hey Guys,
I can see how to add Footer Links via Site Builder, But what i want to try and do was just add a Copyright Disclaimer for Content as a Paragraph / Statement at the bottom of the forum so it is visible on any page viewed.. Is there is simple way to accomplish this.. The forum is about a Movie Based Car , so really need to protect ourselves from overzealous people who may take it to serious , Or have a difference of opinion. Although we have Sony's permission so may want to add their copyright also.. |

You could just edit the copyright phrase.

I could do it that way , But i wrote a small right up on the AdminCP / Site Name / URL / Contact Details / Copyright Text and it is all showing in bottom right hand corner.
But i have just noticed the actual Text i want to use in already in the VB5 system as default, The same as the link i showed above on my VB4.. If you go to AdminCP / Help Manager / Terms of Service and view that, The Copyright Text is already in place, So how would i get that displayed on the actual forum .. Is there a way to make it visible.?? Your Domain here/help#community_overview/general_tos |
