The style I can most certainly agree with you.

Registration appeal is there for the 3rd line of defence against spam bots. Anyone can be apart of the community. Its kept a secret hideout so people can feel special. Nothing to really hide, just to nake it feel unique. I night just let people see the forums but not the threads as guests.
