IE10 won't load the forum index although going directly to a subforum URL or thread URL works fine.
Any idea what the problem could be? Which template could cause this problem? I tried disabling all plugins and vbseo, no change. Other forums don't seem to report this problem either so it must be a mod I made. Also, I reset forumhome template to default. No change. |

When I do that, the forum homepage displays but with the following at the top
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/website/public_html/forum/index.php(598) : eval()'d code on line 249 and on the subforum pages with the following at the top: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/website/public_html/forum/forumdisplay.php(278) : eval()'d code on line 249 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/website/public_html/forum/includes/functions.php(2948) : eval()'d code on line 249 and the message Unable to add cookies, header already sent. File: /home/website/public_html/forum/forumdisplay.php(278) : eval()'d code Line: 249 Viewing threads results in: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/website/public_html/forum/showthread.php(2133) : eval()'d code on line 249 What does that mean? With IE and a guest, page still loads but with those messages. I think it's related to my ad or facebook like button. |

Those are errors from plugins. Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:

Disabled plugins from CP and also from config.php, didn't get those errors but still cannot load the forum main page from forum/ or forum/index.php (since vbseo is disabled)
No change in behavior other than all the forum images like the buttons are X'ed out. Some users say that the main index page fails and it sends them to their router login page. Could this be a clue? |

When you disabled vbseo, did you do it via the control panel and also remove all the stuff from your .htaccess file?

Thanks for the help.
I tried both ways, through CP, through config.php, and also removed the .htaccess. No change in behavior. What in the world could cause this? All threads and subforum pages can be viewed but main forum page does not load. This is only IE10, Ie9 and ie8 worked fine. |

OK, I set up a fresh test install of 3.8.7 and ie10 works fine on it. I even imported my style to the fresh install and it's working fine. If it's not plugins and not the style, what could be causing this problem?

Is there any templates that are coming up with a problem and need a revert

No, I just deleted the live forum folder and reuploaded it with a fresh install and no change. My hidden test install on another domain doesn't have this problem at all.
Since I didn't overwrite the databases, could there be something there or in the server setup that would cause this problem with only the forum homepage? With and without vbseo, no change so I don't think any plugins or vbseo are causing the problem. |
