Talking for vB5 is a taboo?

Hello all,

Day by day I'm seeing all threads talking for vB5 to be closed or deleted. So, is it taboo to talk for vB5, or there is lack of "real reasons" to prove that vB5 is a that superior version?

In the last thread "VB5 is a joke", TheLastSuperman, tried with an unrealistic example to calm down the discussion. You used wrong example Mr. TheLastSuperman. Is not about if I like Chevrolet over Ford. Because here we're ALL onwers of Chevrolet (or Ford, doesn't matter). And we're talking for the models of the same brand, not comparing with another brand. Because we want to know why the Chevrolet 2013 is worst than Chevrolet 2009. This is our problem and not if Chevrolet 2013 is worst than Ford 2013. We DON'T CARE FOR FORD. We care just for the brand that we love.

That's all that I've to say. By discussing something you're improving a product (if the owner wants to improve it), and not by closing mouths (threads). Except if Chevrolet decided to start selling Bicycles instead of Autos.

To be fair, that thread deserved to be closed. It really got personal, and topic aside, I would have closed that thread on my forum, too.

No, Talking for vB5 is not taboo.

However, attacking people, services or products is.

Vb.org is a site for modifications and modification developers, not a site for rants about vB/IB or any other software for that matter, there are plenty of other where forums you can do that.
