Banning email addresses
Hello to everyone,
How do I ban email addresses?!? I have a long list of email addresses in the "User Banned Options" - such as *@sina.com - but I still get spammers trying to sign up using email addresses with variations ending in the above email suffixes. Am I doing something wrong? |

You need to only enter @sina.com, not *@sina.com

Thank you Lynne for your quick reply. I will go in and change them as suggested.
I have noticed a lot of email addresses listed in the format that I posted though. I was under the assumption that using the * before any email addies would automatically include all variations of that particular suffix. |

You don't need the wildcard. Read the quote I posted that is in the settings page.

Yes I understand about the wildcard.
Should I remove it from all the existing banned email addresses? |

Yes, remove it from all the ones you want to work.
