Mirror Mods
It would be great if modifications could be mirrored across multiple vBulletin versions. This means authors create one thread in the 4.x modification section, and it shows up in other sections (i.e. 3.8, 3.7, 3.6). It's not actually "copied" per-se, it's just made to appear in multiple forumdisplay versions authors select.
It would make maintenance a /lot/ easier. Support requests, updates, and everything else would be centralized. If people have different code for the same mod, they can simply upload different zips or Xmls. Thoughts? |

Some, actually, quite a lot of the 4.x mods don't work at all on vB3. And quite a few authors no longer support 3.x because they no longer have 3.x boards to test things on. I see what your getting at, but it could lead to some confusion when a fix for one, isn't really a fix for another. Even a simple template edit can go awry.

Yes, it would be nice if one thread could cover multiple versions, but unfortunately, it would mean a lot of work re-designing the current system. There simply isnt the resources available for that.
