Custom Profile Field Permissions
Ok, I saw PLENTY of people asking how to do this. Just none that had found a full solution for it.
I have a situation where I need to disable the ability for users to even see custom profile fields. Only certain user groups can see them in order to enter data in them. The "private field" functionality wont keep 'inelligble' usergroups from being able to put information into this field. I'm sure its possible if you know the right variables to test and templates to edit, which i dont. Anyone? |

What about using Wired1's Extra Profile Fields page?
You can put all of your restricted fields on that page, and use an is_member_of conditional... |
