Rules on registration page
When you click the register link the first page you get are the forum rules (content provided by forum_rules_description phrase). If you want to replicate the contents of your own forum rules (usually a thread) to that registration page, you must copy the contents of your rules to a HTML editor and then format it to properly display them on that registration page because bbcodes don't work on phrases. And each time you change your forum rules you must also apply the changes on the forum_rules_description which is a headache.
A much better approach to solve this will be that instead of filling that text box with the contents of the forum_rules_description phrase you read and display the contents of your forum rules directly from showthread.php?t=X or showpost.php?p=X&postcount=Y Is this easily doable? |

So, when you go to register and see the Forum Rules, you want them to somehow be taken from the thread instead of the phrase? You would need to write a query to get the post content, and then throw it through the function to parse the bbcode and then spit it out. Why not instead just have your thread point to the rules at misc.php?do=showrules ?
