host banning?
I have been getting a lot of spam recently from
choopa.net they are making hundreds and hundreds of registration bots but thankfully my anti spam mods are working to stop posting. My question is there a way to host ban all server ip's from choopa.net directly? I have attempted to contact choopa.net support staff about their users spamming my forums and they refuse to take any action so I will just take my own action. |

I was reading some of the posts in that topic and from what I am gathering by doing this it could possibly prevent certain users from being able to log on depending on where they live. I'd rather not take that chance as I am trying to keep the gates open but secured if that makes sense |

I have added the IP range 177.199.* to the Banned IP list but they still seem to be crawling my site. Spam has died off significantly, but would be good to stop them crawling my site.

You could add the following to your htaccess file:
order deny, allow deny from 177.199 allow from all |
