On my currently active users stats at the bottom. There are a couple of spammers name which I have banned. I am now wanting to make it so it doesn't show their names at the bottom. I assume the most simple way of doing this would for it to just force you have to re login now.
So I guess my question is, is there a way to make a setting or something to force a specific user OR everyone OR a specific usergroup to have to re log in until I turn the setting off? |

You could shorten the amount of time users appear online. I think 15 minutes is default. What do you have it set to?
I think it's also the time setting for the session cookie. |

Hi max, I changed these settings to a shorter time frame and the three banned users are still showing

They shouldn't show after the expired time.

Well, unless they come back to the site page then they will show as logged in because of their cookie.
If you edit your includes/config.php file, there is a line about the forum cookie. You can change that and then everybody will need to relogin the next time they come to your site. |

@Lynne,
that does seem to do the trick, but is there a way to make that only happen for those of the banned usergroup? |

No. I thought you just wanted a temporary solution until you fix the query to not show banned users. (I could have sworn it said that, but I must be thinking of another thread.)
