Updating to 4.2.0
Hello.
I'm updating my forum to the last version 4.2.0, basically I have only to copy the new files to my server or I need to run the install file again? I was using the 4.1.10, I modified the config.php to my settings, I just need to confirm if I need to run something or just upload the new files. Thanks --------------- Added [DATE]1345601260[/DATE] at [TIME]1345601260[/TIME] --------------- Ok, it's updated, I had to execute the update file. Just 2 questions left now: 1- Can I delete the "install" folder ? 2- When I enter in my forum link it redirect to the activity.php(What's new?) and not the forum.php anymore, how can I change that? Thank you |

1. Yes. Unless you need to use tools.php later on, then you will need to reupload it.
2. There is a thread at the top of the vB4 forum over on vbulletin.com on how to change the default navigation link. |

Thank you, I found it there.
I'm been attacked be spambotters now, wtf? xD Do you know a good plugin to help with them? I already use reCaptcha on registration. |

Try a search for "spam*" in vB4 Forums, Title Only and you will get plenty of mods.
It is usually suggested to use a unique Question & Answer instead of reCaptcha. Come up with a Question (or several) that your users will know the answer to but perhaps the spammers would not without having to google it. |
