Thanks Lynne, i've got rid of the td and now put it as background see here www.thecodecage.com/forumz/index.php?styleid=37 but it doesn't scale down with browser size or resolution so unless you have really widescreen it looks naff, ideally i want it where it is and to scale up and down automatically, its been driving me nuts!

Also, i tought having width 100% would allow it to scale automatically?
