I've seen other forums have this, I was wondering how I could get my calender on the front of the forum on the sidebar?

I did but I've not came across one. But I've seen people with this. Unless I'm searching wrong

Are you sure you weren't looking at vbadvanced? Or looking at a widget? I've seen a calendar widget (which shouldn't be hard to convert to a block), but I'm not sure I've seen a block.
