In a few places, I have seen user thank yous or likes posted. I don't see any buttons to give me the option to thank or like, however.

I'm trying to figure out what hack is being used for that, as I tried one I found here, but it doesn't look that way.

Click the heart to like a post. The system used on vB.org is custom made for vB.org

As far as I know, there's been no replicas made.

The one here is a custom script. However there is a Thank You hack listed in the mods section, and there is also a tutorial on how to change that to a "like" system.
