Back up solution
Hello,
I will soon be running my vBulletin 4 forum but I am looking for a 3rd party, full back up server provider which is well known or is reputable with vBulletin forum owners. Basically, I wish to do a regular, full back up of my website on a 3rd party server away from the server on which my website is being hosted. Clearly, the server I am hosting the website on may lose my entire website if it is too harshly intruded upon. So, I need a back up which, in the event of a hack or crash on my main server, will restore the website in it's full structural and data formats. Can someone please suggest a few options? Any additional and/or other relevant information will also be appreciated. Thank you, O.H. |

Not sure what you have access to on your host, you can backup the FTP files on to your computer. For the SQL database if you have cPanel it's more user friendly. Also you can google SSH backups to try and backup the database

I noticed this had been added to our cpanel/files section recently, but I don't know if it's up and running yet. "Get a time machine for your website" - https://www.codeguard.com/websites
Our site's small enough I just download full backups monthly and daily db backups to my own computer. |
