ChilaxinMS Staff Comments v1.3

Allows staff members and predefined users to converse about a thread without normal user's seeing it. Displays above the thread and allows a "Auto Post" function on the posting of a staff comment.

I have personally tested it on vBulletin version 4.0.8, but I can't see it having any problems with any 4.x.x versions, but if there is an error please tell me and I will fix right away!

Features:
-Allows usergroups to see staff notes
-Allows specific users to see staff notes
-Supports BB Code

Version Releases:

1.0.0
- Initial Release (only for Beta testers)

1.0.1
- Fixed some users not being able to see the staff comments due to user ID.
- Fixed the Forum/Thread "updater" to actually show the auto comment as the latest reply.
- Added prefix support.
- Added MySQL injection checking (You never know when your staff will get mad!)

1.2
- Compatible with 4.2 (Sorry for the delay, never got a notification!)

1.3
- Fixed an issue with vBulletin usergroup HTML markup causing SQL errors.
(If your usergroup markup had single quotes ( ' ) it would cause SQL errors
- Added more security measures.

1.3.1
- Fixed an issue with upgrading from previous versions.

Please let me know of any bugs/errors/requests and I will fix right away!

Hello there, hm I uploaded and installed the product and i got a table in the AdminCP.
I added the right usergroup IDs and even the ID of my Admin Account but I don't see any options for doing "staff notices" on my board.

Where can I find it?

Maybe you forgot to tell us where to upload the three phps?
I just uploaded it to the main forum's directory.

Pls check out whether we did a mistake or you

P.S: There's even a bug in your readme:
Quote:
"To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > VSa - Advanced Forum Rules"

Sorry about that in the demo I was trying to use someones tutorial because I knew people would understand, after installing the staff notes to go a thread and above the thread it will say Staff Notes and give you the option to post one.

Edit:
I re-looked at my code and my readme and noticed I forgot this bit:
Code:
Go to your template manager and edit "SHOWTHREAD", add "<!--STAFFNOTES-->" after {vb:raw navbar}
Sorry about that it was pretty early when I was working on it

Added a photo of the placement also

Hello there, the mod does work yes.
I don't know what you did, but i got to show a biiiiig issue concerning deleted posts:

If your mod is deactivated everything is perfect:

But after activating the modification it looks like this:

As you can see the header of each post has collapsed and this is a very eyecatching problem you should get fixed

Thx

Alex

Yes, but I would prefer this mod.

1. there's no Branding.
2. the "Hidden Posts" from DB Mod are basically "Not moderated posts". If i wish I could make a new post and then hide it, this would have the same effect.

But some issues have got to be fixed as it seems

I cant quite see what you are talking about but I will take a look again, can you tell me what vBulletin version you are using?

Edit: now I see what you mean, I will look into it thank you for the report. I have looked on my forums and this is not an issue so I need to know what version you are using so I can test it myself.

what you can see is my test board using 4.1.10. But there a lot of other modifications installed for testing. maybe there are some incompatibilities I don't know, sorry

Give me a minute, I will switch off all other Add-Ons except yours, and take a look, whether the issue still appears.

EDIT: I switched off all modifications concerning SHOWTHREAD. The issue is definitely caused by your mod But I'm sure you will find the error in your code.
