Database error 2
I'm getting an e-mail saying that has a dababase error in a VERY LONG message, I've been talking to Lynne and he said that the important is the end of the message:
MySQL Error : Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes Error Number : 1153 Request Date : Monday, February 27th 2012 @ 10:09:01 PM Error Date : Monday, February 27th 2012 @ 10:09:01 PM Script : http://forums.domain.com.br/showgroups.php Referrer : http://www.domain.com.br/ IP Address : 187.65.109.242 Username : Unregistered Classname : vB_Database MySQL Version : Look's line that the problem is ALWAYS with the showgroups.php Any solution for that? Disable that group or whatever? Thanks. |

It is not a good idea to show large groups on the showgroups page.
About the error - that is a server issue. You need to contact your hosting provider and request them to increase the value for your mysql setting max_allowed_packet in the my.cnf file and then restart MySQL. How can I disabled the showgroups then?
I just checked the my.cnf and there is no option for that max allowed packet, I will try to add it with 32M. Thanks. |

Usergroup Manager > edit usergroup > Viewable on Show Groups > No
