problems with write permissions in the FTP
Since migrating from server I have a very strange problem in the forum, users can not be placed avatars, avatars disappeared from the CMS, and there are lots of options BLOCKED all that are not activated by the write permissions on the FTP.
Here biene good, all directories on the FTP are with 755 and files 644 are therefore configured correctly and not where the problem is, I have hired a VPS webfusión and very ... %&@# Say it is not their problem. I need help. Thanks. |

I think 755 and 64 would be OK if the files are owned by the corrrect user, so you might want to check that. Also, I think some upload problems (if that is what you're having) can be caused by permissions on the temp directory and other php settings. Are you getting any error messages?

As I can check whether or not the correct user?
Yes, I get errors loading; When a user attempts to place an avatar When s eintenta upload an image for the group When if you try to upload any image to album When I try to update the version of the forum I pass the tool "Tools" to solve some problems I had style. There are more but I forget now, but basically all the problems have to do with writing files. I apologize for my English so bad, but I'm Spanish and I use a translator to communicate. Sorry. |

What kind of errors are you getting?
If you store avatars/images in the filesystem, then the directory you store them in must be chmod to 777. |

What do you get in Maitenance > Diagnostics > Upload ?
I would suggest talking to your host about the issue. You need to take a look at those server error logs to see what the real issue is. |

file_uploads: Active

But ... When I try to get an avatar using Link I get this error: Upload failed due to an error writing the temporary file. |

You should fix the upload_tmp_dir this needs to be set to something. You may also need to enable the safe_mode option in vBulletin's admincp.

The upload_tmp_dir issue is a php configuration issue. Not vBulletin.
