As far as I know the time of a post is pulled from the server time... The problem has to be with what time the server is reporting at the time the post is made.

You should contact your host and tell them you are getting incorrect times from the server.

You could watch the server time in the footer for a while (reloading the page) and see if you see it go backwards or anything.

How often does this happen?
