Icons at the top...how do you change them?

I've just had the opportunity to play around vB and must say it is a lot better than what i used to use (UBB). I have been trying to change the icons on the top where it says profile, register, etc. to make them simple text links. How can this be done? I've comb through the preferences and can't find an option to just make them text links. Is there a different way to do it?

On a side note...is there a relatively painless way to move each user's post icons to the top, ala UBB (the only thing I like about UBB )? I've tried it a bit but it always comes out looking warped...can anyone tell me exactly which code I need to move, and where to put it?

Just ask nicely for someone's (who has the icons on top) postbits template and you can just paste it in.

In fact I believe someone has already posted it if you search on "postbit"
