How to make Profile Fields Show on another page
Hi. You know how when you make a profile field, you can make it show up on Edit Your Details, Options, etc? Well, how can I make it show up on a custom vB powered page I may create? Is it done in the php file or template or what? I want the FORM to show up, not what the user entered on the details/option page. Like, if it's a single-text box, I want the Single Text Box to show up on that page so they can edit their information there. If anyone knows how to do this, greatly appreciated.

There's a bit of code involved in doing that, I think. Probably the best thing to do is to look at profile.php and see how it's done there. Unless maybe you're just asking how you can know what type a given profile field is? You could read the profilefield table from the db to find that out.

No, I meant making some of my profile fields be visible on another page as they are on Edit Your Details. For example:
Enter Your Car Information! Show the dropdown instead of in Edit Your Details in Edit Your Car Information, where you can select the brand, model, year, etc (the profile fields I make) So basically, I want some enter fields to show up on a different page BESIDES Options and Edit Details. I will try looking at profile.php but this is probably template related |
