This modification was just something random that I adapted to vBulletin.. I will release it with the status of beta, and when it has been proven to be stable, I will update it...

Demo of fisheye effect:
Demo
Demo - Vbulletin Live example (slightly modified from original release)

Installation:
Step 1:
- Extract and Upload contents of the "upload" folder to your server

Step 2:
Admin CP> Plugins and Products> Manage Products> Add/Import Product> Import> product-ajax_fisheye_menu.xml

Step 3:
Admin CP> vBulletin Options> Ajax Fisheye Menu >
Change.... Path to 'fisheye' directory
Attachment 72006

Step 4:
- Add
Code:
$afm_menu
in whatever template you decide to show menu (most likely navbar or header template)

Step 5(skip if vBa CMPS is not installed):
If you have vBadvance CMPS installed, you will need to do the following in order for this to work on your homepage as well:
- Admin CP> vBa CMPS > Default Settings> Main Options>
- Under the 'Portal Output Global Variables' setting you will need to add "afm_menu"

Step 6:
- Now you will need to configure the menu entries.. open the 'afm_fisheye_menu' template under the 'Ajax Fisheye Menu' template group.
- To add new menu items just use the following format:
Code:
<a class="dock-item" href="#"><img src="fisheye/images/home.png" alt="home" /><span>Home</span></a>

To Update:

- Reupload contents of upload folder to forum root...

This conflicts with other AJAX features (as others have noted), but for me it was the AJAX Collapsible First Post https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=145187 that didn't play nice. I have temporarily (hopefully) removed this from my forum as the other mod is more important - this is eye candy (damn fine eye candy!). I'd still love to get this working. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. Thanks

Is there a way to make the menu extend the full width of the header? What I mean is change the width. Right now it is very small. If I only have 8 or so icons I would still like it to span from the left side of the screen to the right.

Problem sorted, seemed firefox didnt like the css of that particular style, I had to rejig the header by using a split cell then move fisheye across.

Probably a bit late for you but I just had the same problem with vbpicgallery.

The reason is that the vbpicgallery 'vbpicgallery_main' template doesn't call the headerinclude template so the fisheye include can't be added.

I added an extra plugin on the parse_templates hook to handle the vbpicgallery_headinclude template.

No idea if it's the best way to fix the problem but it works here's my plugin code

PHP Code:
if($vbulletin->options['afm_onoff']){

$vbulletin->templatecache['vbpicgallery_headinclude'] = str_replace($vbulletin->templatecache['vbpicgallery_headinclude'], $vbulletin->templatecache['vbpicgallery_headinclude'] . "

fetch_template('afm_fisheye_headinclude') . "

fetch_template('afm_fisheye_stylesheet') . "

"
$vbulletin->templatecache['vbpicgallery_headinclude']);

Anyone know how to code the plugin to check if it's on a vbpicgallery page ? Would checking against THISSCRIPT work inside a plugin ?

Has anyone determined if this will still work under vB 4.x ... or is there a comparable mod that works under vB 4.x ??

(thanks in advance for any insight)
