vb.org width option
Hi all
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes. I just noticed today that at the bottom of all vbulletin.org pages there is a Layout option. With width and colour options. Can anyone tell me how the width mod is done, is that an add-on or plug-in? Many thanks. |

Pretty sure it's just a javascript plugin that controls both functions

Thanks, so that means it should be a plugin that I can download from here somewhere?

Possibly. Not all modifications made to vBulletin.org are released, but I believe someone made a similar modification to do this.
--------------- Added [DATE]1317666548[/DATE] at [TIME]1317666548[/TIME] --------------- Ah, here it is. But I don't think it includes the width option... https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ghlight=vb.org |

Thanks for taking the time to find that, just my luck, it doesn't do the width where my problem lies.
I am trying to correct the forum logo that is not wide enough on widescreen monitors but is perfect on 4:3 monitors. Have a look at www.television-magazine-forum.co.uk it is the top forum image that is the issue. I wondered if there is a way to restrict the page width on widescreen monitors so there are big borders left and right. Thanks again. |

I resolved the issue by slightly resizing my forum image and then tweaked the following files.
doc_margin doc_maxWidth doc_minWidth Job done. |

The real solution was to make the image the correct size, in my case 1300px wide and 90px high.
I uploaded it and then found the vbulletin-chrome.css template I added the following to the code overflow: hidden; As shown below. .doc_header { _background-image:none; border:{vb:stylevar header_border}; color:{vb:stylevar header_color}; font:{vb:stylevar header_font}; position:relative; min-height:35px; overflow: hidden; doc_width was then set to 1300px doc_margin was set to left and right auto doc_minwidth was set to 1000px doc_width was set to 90% My logo image is now correctly aligned on all screen types and sizes. |
