If you don't know where your access_logs are, then you need to ask your host. These are not vbulletin logs, they are server logs that log every instance of someone accessing your site. You should look through them for anyone accessing the admincp and see what they were up to.

If would guess you may remove that plugin if you are certain you did not add it.

The mod being called "backdoor" if you didn't install it, is a no brainer that you got hacked.

You have the exact same issue and have a plugin called Backdoor which is causing this issue on your site? Then please talk to your host about how you got hacked.

Lynne ,

I deleted the plugin have not seen any side effects so far
This is what I got from the HOST
"In the event a vBulletin (or any other CMS) installation was hacked, 98% the reason is not the secureness of dashboard, server, but the fact that your script itself can have many "security holes". As a rule it is being hacked through non-secure plugins and templates that are installed by the users. Some of them set 777 permissions onto files and folders, which is unacceptable as it makes the files vulnerable. This is the most common way the website are hacked.

Unfortunately we do not have enough possibilities and resources to keep an eye on every website on our servers since we have too many of them to be able to do so. Therefore we count on updating the software, secure modules, firewalls and AVs. But all this can not prevent website hacking if the client's software has a lot of "security holes".

Thank you for contacting Support Service.
Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have any other questions or concerns. "
In short they seem to point the figure at VB and dont have any hint what had happened

How do I fix the other issue ? thread/ post view counts are not increasing at all is any file corrupted ? please guide how that needs to be fixed

K!nG ,

I did research and yes it effects everything does not matter which theme you are on , immediately delete the plugin I think if you also have the issue its very unlike you and me are on the same host (Justhost) I feel some loophole at Vb's end has caused this issues probably needs to be looked by technical folks at VB probably ADMIN can escalate how are your thread views behaving ?
