Hello Everyone,
Maybe you can call me dumb or whatever, I've tried to get my question answered via a Ticket on vBulletin.com, but it's still confusing for me... & I hope I can get a more understandable answer here... I currently am working on my test-site (protected area). And I want to soon start on the real site.... Situation (test-site): vBulletin Suite, X amount of mods/products, Self (custom) made style & Default style... (I made a new style called "Layout" & I made that style parent for my style & Default style. I'm going to start on my real-site: vBulletin Suite, going to install X amount of mods/products. I want to get the same styles (my custom made style & default style & there parent style Layout) also on the real site... I need a kind of "STEP by STEP" instructions/guide like for Dummies... What to do to Download: all styles & the styles changes made for any mods installed. Then how to Upload them all on the new site... etc... I hope it is clear enough of what I'm asking... PS: the documentation https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/style_download is not clear enough for me... (because in vB4 there are more options etc than what is standing in that doc...) |

Well honestly it doesn't get much more clearer than what is in the manual. If you want to download the style you made just go to admincp--->Styles and Templates--->Style Manager--->and click on Download next to the style you want to Download.
Style: Layout (as in your case) Product: Vbulletin Title: Whatever you want it named, in this case prolly "Layout" File Name: (I would just leave it alone) Get customizations made only in this style (Should be ticked) Click on Download. Now make sure that you download the images folder off of your server for the style that you made, you will need this. Install: Upload the images to your new forum folder on the new server. admincp--->Styles and Templates--->Download/Upload Styles Now in the Import Style XML File box, click on browse and find the XML that you downloaded from your test forum. If both boards are running the same version of Vbulletin, then Click on Import. Otherwise, click on Ignore Style Version and set it to YES. Click on Import. If you've uploaded the images folder to the correct location on your server your new style is ready to go. |

And do I have to download the style(s) again for every different product? so same selections for product Vbulletin, but then for example "vBulleting Blog" as selection... and same steps to upload? What for the first time I upload? and what to select for all other uploads? Quote:
