Wanted Text Slider Widget for Whats New / Hot ???

Would love to see a new Whats New widget that displays a certain number of recent or hot topics. Below the text area would be buttons to retrieve the next set of recent topics.

So basically you could set it up to display the 5 most recent posts then when you nit NEXT you would get the next 5, then the next 5 and so on.

For an example of how this would look just take a trip to the eBay homepage.

I'll admit that I don't know a lot about this stuff, but is this the same thing that was being discussed here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=264970 ? I also don't know if they ever got it developed or not.

Not really. Those are image sliders and more for the header. In fact I have the Nivo Slider on my homepage already.

What Im looking for is something to display a set number of recent posts/articles just like the Whats New Widget. But rather then have a widget that displays the top 20 or 30 posts in a big long block I want to look into something that only shows 5 or 10 at a time and the user navigates to the next set of 5 or 10 by clicking a forward of back button. I guess it could be called a widget with pagination animation. (if thats even a term).

Like I said try looking at the eBay homepage and see how they have it setup. Its clean with a set size and can hold allot of information in a small place.

Not automatically animated but rather user controlled.
