How do I change the URL of newthread.php on my forum? Obviously I know how to change it to, for instance newthreadpost.php or whatever through FTP but what scripts do I edit to reflect this change on the forum?
I need to do this because of automatic posting scripts and bots people have pointed at my forum. |

I haven't tried it but I think you should just be able to search for newthread.php in the templates and change it wherever you find it, then do the same thing for the vb php files. (I have the php files for vb3.8.3 and I find it only once, in file includes/functions_online.php, and that look like it's just used to set the "current activity").

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try it out soon. So far "FORUMDISPLAY" and "newthread" appear to be the only templates that have any references to newthread.php. Hopefully that will work.
