Description:
The jQuery Accordian Module for vBAdvanced pages will give you an attractive multi-paned sliding accordian panel for your vBAdvanced page(s).
It is easy to install and easy to configure. I have supplied for core files and installation, you need to supply the images and text content.
See the DEMO in action at vBBits on the right of the portal page.
Basic Installation:
1: Upload both folders (and their contents) to your website root (e.g. /public_html/ )
2: Go to your forums AdminCP/Plugins & Products/Manage Products then Add/Import Product and select the file 'vB-Product.xml' and import it.
3: Still in AdminCP/vBA CMPS/Download / Upload Module then 'Module to Upload' and find the file 'vBA-accordian-Module.xml'
Active =>Yes
Style to install templates to => whatever
USERGROUPS => the way you want.
Then click 'Submit'
Integration, This module was designed specifically to be used on one of the side columns @ 175pixels width. Keep that in mind when putting it on a page.
4: Go to AdminCP/vBulletin Options/Accordian Plugin Settings (should be at or near the bottom of the list.)
You will need to upload some suitable images of 150x75 pixels in dimension, this can be altered, though the CSS file will need to be edited if you use an image of another size. The first two settings in the CSS are where to make any changes. It's all commented.
I have included very simplistic pictorial help in the AdminCP for this product.
The first three panels are 'On', the next two are switchable, off by default.
Each panel needs the URL to a unique tab image, and a link to where you want that image to point (any internal or external full web address)
It also needs some text content and title (have a butchers at the Demo again to see how I have done it)
Save your settings, and all should be fine with the World
On the vB3 Version, I have been unable to find ANY other product that this clashes with, on the vB4 Version I have no idea! I only have a bare bones development version installed. Any feedback on the vB4 version could be helpful though.
The template 'adv_portal_aaa' is simplicity itself, look through it, use the code, play with it, make it look the way you want it to be, it's all yours
Thankyou.
I have released a version of that for vB3, but I'm afraid that I am having severe problems with the Human Verify for the vB4 one, so that may still be a long way off
You might want to take a look at your demo site in Opera browser .......... it is a disaster.
Holy cr** didn't realise there could possibly that much difference between browsers. It's only on that one theme though, so it's been disabled for the moment. All the others seem to work as they should.
Many thanks for pointing this out
