Can't install new style?
So I'm working on a friends new site and I have no idea what the previous guy did. And he's no where to be found to ask questions.
The problem is, he installed a style, 1 parent, 1 child. The site is currently using the child. The owner wants me to start testing new styles but none of the styles I'm trying seem to install right. OR if they install correctly, they seem to be overwrote by the current style. If i didn't know any better it looks like the style was hard coded in. I even add a new style to get the default style and NOTHING. It looks like the current style with just a few images from the default vb4 style. Anyone have any idea whats going on? thanks in advance! |

Try this,
Install a new style, with following options Creat a new style/overwrite style version, with no parrent styles, and see what happens ? |

Sometimes* and I mean rarely, I see this happen, basically if you click on any other style in the admincp it results in the forum being seen as a pile of junk w/ some formatting issues correct?
If yes then ensure in the admincp you have it set so users can change styles, then ensure the style is selectable by members in it's options, now refresh or (f5 key) and see if you can view the style correctly now? |
