Recently a lot of users have been complaining about getting spams in their inboxes. Is there a way I can solve their problems by adding a product / plugin?
Thanks. |

Yes.
1.- Make sure you have reCAPTCHA enabled for new registrations. AdminCP > Settings > Human Verification Manager > reCAPTCHA?. That will prevent bots from registering at your forum. If the spammers aren't bots and it's real people that just register to send spamming PM's then.... 2.- Install the mod "VSa - Advanced Permissions Based on Post Count". Link: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=233979 With this modification you can set permissions to people with X post count, so you could set it so newly registered users require a post count of 10 or 20 posts before they can send PM's to other users. |
