Maybe not Ip Check on every users Post IP, but on every registration IP?
That would be orders of magnitude more practical... however... now you run into how useful that might be... Who really keeps their same IP address over the course of months or years? 90% of the people out there have dynamic IP's that change every hour/day/week/month maybe... And even people with static IPs usually are from a job or university or such that will also change in time since life moves on.
The data from that would be pretty much worthless unfortunately.
Why not just set your forum not to allow multiple registrations (like everyone else does) and use the "AE Detector" mod to deal with multiple accounts on the admin side of things?
