Modify Registration Page
How do I modify instructions on the registration page. Basically I want to require that usernames are 'First' SPACE 'Last' name.
Also, is there a way to check the username format before approving to see if it is in fact "alphacharacters SPACE alphacharacters" ?? Like 'John Smith' ?? Any help on either item would be appreciated. Thanks! |

You should be able to edit everything via your style manager, Admin CP-->Styles & Templates-->Style Manager, select the template you want to edit and click Edit Templates from the drop down menu. Find Registration Templates and then see which of the 4 templates you need to edit.
You may need to edit some phrases but check the templates first, if you get stuck post back and I'll help you out. |

Okay, thanks, I might be stupid here but I don't see the actual text to edit in those template files. I am wanting to edit the default text of:
"Please enter the name by which you would like to log-in and be known on this site." I don't see that in the template files. Is it pulling that from somewhere else? --------------- Added [DATE]1306358288[/DATE] at [TIME]1306358288[/TIME] --------------- Okay I found the Phrase and fixed that part in the Languages & Phrases section of the admin. But didn't know if anyone knows if it is possible to automatically check the username for a specific format like: First SPACE Last - Example: 'John Smith' /or/ First SPACE Middle SPACE Last - Example: 'John H Smith' Any of you coders know how to do this? |
