homepage after logging in
I am thinking of purchasing vBulletin. I will have a few sub-forums like classroom 1, classroom 2, etc. Once a student logs into the forum, is there a way I can take him/her to their class-room's sub-forum upon logging in, instead of taking the logged in user to the main forum site? I would like to have the students chose the classroom sub-forum they will be taken to during registration.
How much modification will this require? Thanks, Mike |

It could be done via modification... I would think many vBulletin developers could make this modification if you made a paid request after you get a license. You might even find one willing to do it in the free requests forum- doesn't hurt to ask.
I have a mod that will redirect users on registration to the URL of the admin's choice so I would think getting something to forward on log-on isn't much different. The "classroom" could be something you or the user sets via a "custom profile field" which can be setup from the vbulletin admin control panel. Nothing above is a promise of course- just my best guess as someone who's been here a while. |
