Back button on vbulletin 4 help please
Hello,
I am curious if anyone knows how I would go about fixing it where my members would be able to hit the back button once they go into the forum and such? Right now we are not able to view a particular thread and when we are done hit the back button to get to the previous page? I was initially told it had to do with the skin package I purchased but if I test it in the vbulletin default skin the back button does not work there either? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance. |

If I understand you right, I works fine when using the back button in Opera for me, in the default skin.

If it's the site in your signature the back button is working fine for me... This is of course my browser's back button.
Do you mean the "Go" button to return you to a forum when you've read a thread? If so there is a mod for that: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=257179 |

I am using modzilla firefox as are a lot of my members. When opening and replying to a forum topic if they go to click the browsers back button it does not work on the default skin or the custom skins I have. In internet explorer the back button works perfectly fine. However not everyone uses IE so I was curious if anyone had ever had this issue and if there was a solution.

I just went to my site and entered a thread and made a reply and then hit back and it went to the page I was on previous to going to the thread. This is on a default 4.1.2 site using firefox.

Safe to say then Lynne this might be based as a per member issue? meaning not every fire fox user is getting the issue on my site?

You can always start a thread on your site asking your users if they are having this problem. That's what I do when I have a user say xxx isn't working. Sometimes it ends up being an error between the keyboard and chair.

I visited your site (the red sox one) on my Firefox and indeed the back button isn't working- the page just doesn't change. When i first tested it I was using Chrome.
Seems to be a firefox issue unique to your site. |
