I recently performed a new install of 4.1.2 and I'm experiencing 2 different login issues.
When logging into the site (with or without selecting 'remember me'), the 'thank you for logging in' page will temporarily appear and will be redirected back to the home page. Unfortunately, it does not appear that I was logged in because the username and password boxes still appear and the 'if this is your first visit...' message is displayed. If I just refresh the page, nothing changes. However, if I click on any of the tabs (home, forum, etc...) I am directed to the page and appear to become logged in. This is happening in IE8, FF 3.6, and Google Chrome 9.0. If selecting the 'remember me' option while logging in, should it remember me even if I close the browser session and revisit the site in a new browser session? If so, this also is not working for me. I am prompted to login again if I close the browser and reopen. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Jason |

You must click your forum banner or just add /forum.php after your URL. So for example, every time I go on my forum, I type in mysite.com BUT I did a redirect so it takes me to mysite.com/forum.php
I hope that helps. Just leave a reply or PM me for more help! |

When going to mysite.com, the home page is the content.php page, however that is not shown in the address bar. Is there a way for me to force the redirect to mysite.com/content.php after logging in? Also, is there a way to change the url that is loaded with clicking on the banner ad?
Thanks, Jason |

Yes you must do a redirect in your Hosting cPanel and do a redirect so whenever you login, you go to the forum and same thing when you go to your web address.
