I know that some of the older vBulletin versions had mods where you could allow users to choose which postbit they wanted to use. It was something that I really enjoyed. I've tried searching around a bit and I cannot find similar for vBulletin 4.
Can someone point me in the right direction? |

Go into AdminCp> Settings> Options> Style & Language Settings> and find
Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template and you can change the postbit template by turning it on and off. |

I know that it can be set by the administrator for the entire board. What I want is to give each individual member the option to choose which postbit they want to use.

Oh I would love to find this too!!
I have some boards where half of those that know what postbit is prefer that... the others want legacy... Impossible to please them both. |

The only way I've found to do it so far (which you may be interested in) is by creating sub-styles. On a forum where you don't have a lot of styles already, it does work, it's just a bit cluttery and not ideal.
What you'd do in that case is create a child style, and just edit the "Postbit" template to contain whatever information is in "Postbit_Legacy". Like I said, it's not ideal, but if I don't find an actual hack for this, that'll probably be what I do. |
