I'm wanting to make my forum easier to use for my members. At the moment it is a tad confusing for new members to work their way through the forums to the section they require.
I'm wanting to know how I can seperate my forums on the forum home to make them easier to see. I have attached a screenshot of my current layout, compared to the layout of this very forum, which is what I hope to achieve. Note how the sections at the top of my screenshot are condensed, whereas the ideal layout has them seperated clearly. Attachment 126787 Attachment 126785 Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks in advance. |

First of all you have to play around with the Forum Listing Display Options.
You will find them in the ACP under vBulletin Options. I would set them to 2, 2, 0. After that, use this mod for category seperation: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=219769 This is the best mod I could find amongst all cat seperation mods. Provided you are running a 3.8.x version. I don't know if it works on other versions. |
