I like your vb3.8.6 skin. Personally I would wait with the migration until the stylevars and css changes have been completed. Else you'd be repairing your style with every update or you would choose not to update. The comments from those that have ported their style to vb4.x have not been very inspiring.

I see that you are running Vaulwiki, so based upon that I assume that you would also benefit from the CMS, which is being worked on now.
So the vb4.1.x releases will likely include significant improvements.
