Hello,

I have a question about using hacks on a forum. Some hacks change you php files and you Db. Does this matter when you want to upgrade to a new version(I think it does)?

Whenever you upgrade to a newer version of vBulletin you must re-apply all file hacks, I'm afraid.
Usually you won't have to re-run the queries that mess with your database, but sometimes you will.

In addition, some upgrades include bug fixes and improved features in the templates. Consequently you may also need to first revert these templates, then reapply any hacks that use them.
