Hi,
Here I want to re-phrase my earlier inquiry. I feel like my other posts are not understood. Sorry for repetition. I use vbulletin v3.6.8. I want a code that assigns a particular font for different languages automatically on WYSIWYG editor. In other words, when switching to Arabic language from English, I want a different font used without any manual work. Suppose I am writing English (with the font "Verdana" which is a default font), then I want to write inline some Arabic word. When I hit "Alt+Shift" to change my Windows keyboard to Arabic, right here I want WYSIWYG editor recognize this command and make so called "Traditional Arabic" font a default one. When I switch back to English, then again, I want WYSIWYG editor switch the default font to Verdana. How can I do it? Please I need your advice or at least some tips how to do it. Thanks. |

I don't think you were misunderstood, I just don't think anyone is sure how to make that work. vBulletin has a few built in shortcuts, but I know I've never seen anything that adds additional shortcuts to do something, especially something like switching the editor's font. Also, unless Im mistaken, shortcuts are browser specific. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I spent about 30 minutes looking through templates and php files looking for a way to make the default font dependent on the language selected in vBulletin and couldn't even come up close...
Now you're saying you want to make it auto detect what language the user has set on their computer... this MIGHT be possible via PHP as explained here: http://techpatterns.com/downloads/ph..._detection.php But I still can't come up with code that would change your default font even if the language detection did work (and I'm not sure it will since it says it returns an array of all languages available to the browser, not the currently selected one.) |
