I'm unable to find a good selection of styles for the latest version 4.0.7. Most of the skins and styles in this forum works in older versions. Why is that?

There isnt much change style wise from 4.0.6 to 4.0.7, Usually all changes are merged into the new version. And why there are lesser styles, people probably are waitin for 4.1 to release before they start skinnin.

Nice style. I was look at your demo page for this style on your website, and I was wondering....how did you get the sort of "cubic" forum listings on forum home?

Referring to "Announcement n Faqs, Pre Sale Questions, and Testimonials."

Also, the colors and icons in the thread listing display (I think that's it, it's once you click on a forum and see all the threads) seem to be a bit different in the demo than in the available xml file. like the orange/grey keytags (i think that's what they are) as well as the lighter blueish/purple hue in the demo.

Not trying to be picky, I appreciate that this a free style, but would like to make it look more like the demo if possible. any assistance is appreciated. thanks.

This looks great except I'm having a problem in the user profile. All of the text is unreadable due to being light grey or white on very light backgrounds, or dark grey on a blue background.

In lieu of any replies, I worked on this myself today. I fixed the bulk of it by changing the following code in lines 215 & 216 of profilecustomize.php from this:

'moduleinactive_text_color' => self::$stylevars['header_background']['color'], 
        'moduleinactive_link_color' => self::$stylevars['header_background']['color'],

to this:

'moduleinactive_text_color' => self::$stylevars['body_color']['color'], 
        'moduleinactive_link_color' => self::$stylevars['link_color']['color']

Then from there I turned on profile customization and fixed the remaining by customizing my profile and then setting it as the site default.

The only reason I could get away with this is that this particular forum I'm using this on is a new one with a brand new installation of vB (no users yet) - If this were on one of my 10,000+ user forums where thousands of people had already customized things I think it may have been tougher.

Hope this helps someone out until we get some kind of "official" fix. I really think this is due to the ongoing bad implementation of stylevars and not the skin itself, however it still needs to be fixed to work around vB's changes.
